Hazmat Awareness (NFPA 470 ):
HAZMAT Awareness is the baseline level of training for individuals who may encounter hazardous materials but are not trained to clean them up or stop the leak. The main goal is to recognize the danger, protect yourself, and call for specialized assistance
Hazmat Operations (NFPA 470 ):
HAZMAT Operations is the second tier of training for emergency responders who react to hazardous materials or weapons of mass destruction incidents. Unlike awareness-level personnel who only observe and report, operations-level responders take a defensive, hands-on role to protect nearby people, property, and the environment from the spread of the release without trying to stop it at its source.
Hazmat Mission Specific (NFPA 470):
HAZMAT Operations: Mission-Specific is an advanced tier of the Operations level training where personnel are qualified to perform specific, targeted defensive and limited offensive tasks under the direct supervision of a HAZMAT Technician. While standard Operations personnel focus on general scene safety, Mission-Specific responders possess specialized skills
Hazmat Technician (NFPA 470 ):
HAZMAT Technician is an advanced, offensive response tier of hazardous materials training. Unlike awareness or operations personnel who act defensively from a distance, technicians enter the hot zone to aggressively plug, patch, or otherwise stop a chemical, biological, or radiological release at its source
Hazmat Incident Commander (NFPA 470 ):
The HAZMAT Incident Commander (IC) is the highest authority on the scene of a hazardous materials emergency. This individual is responsible for directing and controlling all tactical resources, managing site safety, and establishing overarching strategies to protect life, property, and the environment
Incident Commander Training (Specific to Fire and Hazmat)
These courses prepare fire officers to manage incidents effectively.
All of our courses offered are NFPA compliant up to current standards and JPR’s (job Performance requirements). If your department requires Certification it will be up to the AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction ) to arrange certification through the Certification Body in your jurisdiction
